Facts and Footnotes

Golden Bay Water

Takaka water has been judged as the country's best in a Close Up bid to find the best tasting water our nation has on offer. Elizabeth, from the iSite, entered water from her kitchen tap, which was ruled the best by master wine taster Bob Campbell and Auckland restauranteur Tony Astle. Takaka's water was described as "nectar of the gods".

Golden Bay's most popular visitor attraction is Te Waikoropupu (Pupu) Springs, which contains some of the clearest water ever measured. Takaka Springs water is served on Air New Zealand's domestic and international flights.
