Highlights of the GBPA committee meeting held in November 2011:
- The committee authorized the printing of 75,000 copies of the GB Visitor Guide by Printhouse (Nelson). Sara and Marg are currently working on the info pages and Dagmar on the map and layout. Planned launch on 17 December at the Santa Parade.
- The committee renewed the annual contract with Jasons Distribution in Wellington for display and distribution of GB Visitor Guide in the ferries circuits and ferry terminals. For the past 12 months we sent out 5,700 copies of the GB Visitor Guide through them.
- GBPA will not participate at the Brightwater Wine and Food Festival, 29 January 2012 as there will be no one to mind the stall.
- Mike will be creating an iapp for both Android and iPhone for GoldenbayNZ to be published by mid-December. This will feature Information and photos of GB. (The Android version is now ready and can be accessed for free. The iPhone version is still waiting for release by the iTunes store which is expected soon).
- The GBPA website needs to be ‘refreshed’ and aligned with the new look of the GB Visitor Guide, With the CMS (Content Management System) we will be able to update the site ourselves with the use of an administration interface. Cynthia to obtain quotes from 2 named suppliers.
- The committee wishes all GBPA members happy holidays and a busy summer season.
