A bit about Duncan McKenzie

Duncan is one of the hard-working organisers of the annual A&P Show. You are likely to see him running from one end of the arena to the other on the day.

For the past 20 years, spring has been dedicated to rearing calves at the McKenzies' small farm near Takaka in Golden Bay.

On their 9ha block at the southern edge of the town, Duncan and Anne McKenzie raise about 200 calves each year and regardless of the fickle nature of the game, they've managed to make it a worthwhile enterprise.
