A Tākaka businesswoman is planning to serve up free festive fare and spread some seasonal joy this Christmas.
Goodness 2 Go owner Cheryl Elsey says there is goodness to come for those spending the big day alone – a yuletide meal delivered direct to their door.
The scheme, which started last Christmas, was “the brainchild” of Megan Jackson, says Cheryl. “It was her idea, we did it together.”
Cheryl says last year’s special meal on wheels was a great success.

Sacred Heart

The iconic Sacred Heart Marble Church was consecrated on 15th September 1918 by Archbishop Thomas O'Shea assisted by Frs Tymons and Kimbell before a large congregation. Up until the Christchurch earthquake in 2011, it remained the oldest marble Catholic Church still in use in New Zealand.
It is our earnest hope that we would be able to use this marble church

NAME
1 The name of the Association shall be "THE GOLDEN BAY PROMOTION ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED" (hereinafter called "the Association")
OBJECTS
2 The objects of the Association shall be
a To promote Golden Bay within New Zealand and overseas, with the object of attracting visitors and business interests
b To assist, promote and encourage sustainable tourism and business development.
