The chalk pastel medium Marion works with is used with skill and her choice of colours epitomises the New Zealand summer. The Golden Bay Arts Council consists of a group of volunteers who support and initiate local Arts events. Run by the Arts Council in an historic building in Takaka, the "Art Bank" showcases and sells the creations of local artists and artisans. The most enduring event is "Bay Art", a Labour weekend competition and exhibition, which attracts high quality and varied entries.
